Explore Why People Are Flocking to These Hot Neighborhoods

The City of Angels is always expanding, and people are constantly looking for new areas with unlimited potential. With public transit reaching new distances and neighborhoods continually evolving, there have never been more opportunities to capitalize on Los Angeles’ real estate. Here’s a look at three dynamic, up-and-coming neighborhoods that are growing by the second.

Mar Vista

If you’re looking for a vibrant neighborhood bustling with families and young professionals, Mar Vista is the place to be. The residential and commercial neighborhood located on the Westside of Los Angeles County is home to brilliant private and public schools, parks, libraries, and more. The neighborhood is a 15-20 minute ride to the Pacific Ocean and close to other popular areas, including Palms, Culver City, Venice, and Santa Monica. It’s well-known for its community events, food, unique boutiques, and a laid-back vibe.

Monrovia

Located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Los Angeles County, Monrovia is characterized by its beautiful setting and opportunities to get outdoors. Residents can take a dip in the waterfalls of Santa Anita Canyon, go hiking at Monrovia Falls or Hermit Falls, or camp at Monrovia Canyon Park. It’s the fourth-oldest general-law city in LA with a plethora of history, and a big addition that has recently popularized this town is the extension of the Metro Gold Line into the new Monrovia Station. The Monrovia Technology Corridor has also drawn people in with its high-tech jobs and charming homes.

Glassell Park

Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Eagle Rock are wonderful examples of neighborhoods that have been revitalized and grew even more popular in their second lives. That’s why it’s no coincidence that they all surround Glassell Park, which is next in line to become a big-name neighborhood. It’s located in northeast LA with a breathtaking hillside view and has become more attractive to renters and homebuyers due to its hip food scene and creative ambiance. Not far from Downtown Los Angeles, the city has been working on restoring an 11-mile stretch of the Los Angeles River, with more greenery and bike trails that run from downtown through Glassell Park. Bungalow Heaven is a particularly great area within the neighborhood, as it’s characterized by charming bungalows and hillside vistas brimming with history.

But wait, there’s more...

The beautiful thing about Los Angeles is that there’s something for everybody—these are just three of countless neighborhoods on the rise. There’s so much more to explore!
